THE NEW LOGO

The logo was inspired by the veins of the Thistle leaf, a highly emotive and recognisable symbol of Scotland. We wanted to use this iconic image but in an abstracted way whilst using the round shape of the main focus of the business, the bespoke, wooden Roundhouse. The final logo is simple yet intricate referencing the environment which the roundhouse is based and the geometric simplicity of the roundhouse itself.
BRAND COLOURS

Muted, natural colours were chosen for the logo identity, again, to sit comfortably with the back to nature feel of the roundhouse being built in Larch Wood.
TYPOGRAPHY

We chose a clean and elegant san serif typeface to support the logo identity of the brand to give a modern, clean feel that fitted with the clean lines if the logo. The typeface is flexible enough to work well in large print right down to small digital screens. We gave the typeface a generous amount of kerning to let the letters breathe and to reference to open spaces in the surroundings. The business name is formatted in an all upper case typeface with the supporting business strap-line in also in upper case. Body text used throughout the website uses the traditional sentence case of the typeface.
